What’s in a name? Everything. When the neo-Nazi, homophobic hate group known as the Proud Boys vandalized a Black church, they thought they could get away with it. Instead, a judge awarded the church their name and logo as part of a $2.8 million judgment against them. So, in honor of that poetic justice, we present: The Original Proud Boys.
This design reclaims the phrase Proud Boys the way it should have been used all along—with two gorgeous men in a loving embrace, celebrating Pride with unapologetic joy. Styled in a way that nods to the legendary Tom of Finland, this shirt is a giant middle finger to hate groups everywhere. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to Metropolitan AME Church, the very church that took down the Proud Boys in court.
